**************************** God Calls Solomon to Build the Temple
Key Verse:
“Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” 1 Chronicles 28:10
Our lesson gives some essential facts about the call and the work of God. God will provide the resources, plans, and help that will be needed to complete the work. But the work of God is not a piece of cake. Whatever God calls a person to do is essentially larger than the individual that He calls to do it. The plans God always have eternal purpose; they are never just for the moment. “Just for the moment” things are usually about the flesh and are conjured in the minds of men. They tend to look and feel good but have no eternal consequence except to hamper the true purposes of God.
The ability to trust and depend on God throughout the process of the work is where faith becomes essential. No matter how intelligent or gifted and individual may be, the work of God cannot be completed without total dependence of God. The command to “do it’ is always proceeded by the command to seek the hold on to God. Have a blessed day and week.
Jesus bless, Love,Debbie
This is the day that the Lord has mad I will rejoice and be glad in it! |
